Air Canada's Service Dog testing

ABOUT
K-9 Country Inn Inc. has partnered with Air Canada to ensure that you and your service dog can be properly accommodated on all domestic Air Canada flights.
​
This test has been designed specifically for teams who have self-trained their service dog or for teams whose dog was not trained through an Assistance Dogs International (ADI) accredited program.
​
Air Canada is committed to supporting passengers with disabilities and ensuring that all service-dog teams can travel safely and confidently.
​
Together, we have created an obedience and temperament assessment that you and your canine partner will complete. Once you successfully pass this test, you will be approved to travel on any Air Canada flight for a period of two years.

WHO QUALIFIES?

Testing is open to any breed.
​​

Dogs must be 18 months of age or older.
​​

Dogs must be up to date on all required vaccinations and have a certified letter from a veterinarian stating the dog is in good health.
​​

The applicant must be diagnosed with a disability and provide a letter from their physician prescribing a Service Dog.

THE PROCESS

K-9 Country Inn Inc. s’est associée à Air Canada afin de s’assurer que vous et votre chien d’assistance puissiez être adéquatement accommodés sur tous les vols intérieurs d’Air Canada.

Ce test a été conçu spécifiquement pour les équipes ayant entraîné elles-mêmes leur chien d’assistance ou dont le chien n’a pas été formé dans le cadre d’un programme accrédité par Assistance Dogs International (ADI).

Air Canada s’engage à soutenir les passagers en situation de handicap et à veiller à ce que toutes les équipes maître-chien d’assistance puissent voyager en toute sécurité et en toute confiance.

Ensemble, nous avons élaboré une évaluation d’obéissance et de tempérament que vous et votre partenaire canin devrez compléter. Une fois ce test réussi, vous serez autorisé(e) à voyager sur tous les vols d’Air Canada pour une période de deux ans.

QUI EST ADMISSIBLE

L’évaluation est ouverte à toutes les races.

Les chiens doivent être âgés de 18 mois ou plus.
​

Les chiens doivent être à jour dans leurs vaccins obligatoires et accompagnés d’une lettre signée par un vétérinaire certifiant que le chien est en bonne santé.
​

Le demandeur doit avoir un diagnostic de handicap et fournir une lettre de son médecin prescrivant un chien d’assistance.
